1. Kushal Yuva Program (KYP)

The Kushal Yuva Program is a flagship initiative by BSDM. And aimed at enhancing the employability of Bihar’s youth aged between 15 and 25 years. This program is particularly designed for individuals who have completed at least the 10th grade. And regardless of whether they are pursuing higher education or have already completed it. KYP focuses on imparting essential soft skills, including life skills, communication skills in both English and Hindi, and basic computer literacy.

  • Bihar State Certificate in Communication Skills (BS-CCS): This 80-hour course enhances participants’ proficiency in English and Hindi, covering aspects like speaking, listening, reading, and writing. It also emphasizes non-verbal communication, vocabulary building, grammar, pronunciation, and effective communication techniques.
  • Bihar State Certificate in Information Technology (BS-CIT): The course has a duration of 120 hours, and the participant will gain IT awareness and literacy. This will include training on Windows 7, MS Office Suite, internet browsers, and basic troubleshooting. The curriculum is based on international standards so that participants get relevant and up-to-date IT skills.
  • Bihar State Certificate in Soft Skills (BS-CSS): This 40-hour module focuses on developing personal and interpersonal skills, including self-awareness, time management, goal setting, workplace ethics, and stress management. 2. Domain Skilling Programmes

Agriculture: Courses include Animal Health Worker, Artificial Insemination Technician, and Tropical/Sub-tropical Fruit Grower.
